SPEAKER: Joan Countryman, Head of the Lincoln School
Head of the Lincoln School in Providence, Rhode Island, a Quaker-related N-12 school for girls. Previously, she was assistant head for academic planning and director of studies at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia where she taught mathematics from 1970 to 1993. She also lectured at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Countryman lectures on new trends in elementary and secondary mathematics education, gender and mathematics, and the use of writing in mathematics.
Marilyn Fuller has been a human resources professional for 19 years at Texas Instruments. As manager of diversity, career, and staffing services, she develops and implements key human resource strategies and people strategies to meet global business objectives. Previously, she was the company's employee relations manager and compensation/benefits manager. Ms. Fuller's primary goal is creating the work force of the future. A graduate of Bryant College, she serves as a mentor to Bryant students.
