Jacobs' wife); and Dr. Harry L. Jacobs, President of Bryant College. Charles Sawyer and Nellie Tayloe Ross were two of four honorary degree recipients. The other two receiving honorary degrees on this day were William D. Fales, Head of the Textile School of the Rhode Island School of Design; and Lucius A. Whipple, President of Rhode Island College of Education.
