Dear Members:
This is to fully acknowledge your generous gift of cigarettes that I recently received from you. I must admit that I had almost forgotten my very nice days at Bryant, but you have served to bring them all back- very vividly once again.
One of the most amazing things that could happen to anyone in the Armed Forces has just happened to me! It all came in the form of one Joe Crawford of Norwich, Connecticut who graduated from Bryant in 1941! You can well imagine how much we have talked over Bryant days since we have met.
Both of us are now very anxious to find out what has been happening at Bryant lately. We would like to know where our fellow alumni are. Could you possible [sic] help us out in this matter.
We have heard of Lieutenant William Shors, Major Henry Lee, and the fact that Mrs Stickney has left you. What other news is there???
In closing, thank you again for your very, very kind thoughts as I truly appreciate them. Please let me hear some news of Bryant and Bryant Alumni.
Yours for Victory
