An international leader in family planning and women's health. She is the president and CEO of the Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA), an international non-governmental organization with a mission of empowering women at all levels of society to be full partners in development. Ms. Curlin is the founder of Concerned Women, a Bengali women's health and family planning organization. She has led CEDPA's women's empowerment approach since 1978.
